Weather change -real?

If you haven't noticed something, the weather seems to be changing a lot. Take for instance - the so called Hurricanes like Aila or Phanlin. I never seen this kind of strong winds or Hurricanes when I grow up but it is becoming common nowadays. I used to think Durga puja happens in the Bengali month of Aswin when flower like Kash beautifies our fields and the sky is clear and blue. But it is not the case anymore. The sky is always cloudy and it is raining all the time as if we have Durga Puja in rainy seasons now. It is not just this year but seems to be every year nowadays.

I am not a environmental scientist to say whether Global warming is true or not and while we all know the effect of global warming and feeling the consequences for it, there are plenty of people (particularly conservative minded ones) who considered it is a made up story. Whatever it is, we all know, the glaciers are melting and weather patterns are changing and it is becoming extremes in every aspect. When it is hot, it is unbearably too hot, when cold it is too cold and when it rains, it rains non- stop all the time till flood situations arises. With global warming when sea level is expected to go up by a few inches and it will flood a significant area of major cities all over the world including West Bengal. It might completely wipe out a portion of Sundarban jungle. Bottom line is it may be slow but we are witnessing the effect of our own deeds in the form of Global warming. Developed countries like US, UK blame developing countries like China and India for it, but it is also the developed countries who started the mess in the first place in the form of carbon emission. The other issue is more complex and economic like removal of trees and Greenfields in developing world, but with population explosion and food supply for them, the problem is bound to get worse with time. Policy of the Governments add more problems like blaming other countries really doesn't help as we don't breath just American air or Indian air and it is shared. So, the responsibility should be a shared one too where logic and science to support it prevails, not the blame game and ad hoc judgment. Because, if it continues, it will be our children or Grandchildren,  who will definitely face the consequence for that.
